Target Haul- Get Ready With Me Look

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

On Friday night I spent about two hours watching makeup videos by @makeupxka on Instagram. She is SO talented and does amazing work. Her look is more natural/soft glam which I absolutely love. Lately I’ve been into the no makeup makeup look. She inspired me to film a get ready with me video for you guys! I filmed a whole video, but unfortunately my phone doesn’t have enough memory to save it. I’m to invest in a camera so I can make videos for you guys! Videos are a more personal way to connect with others. If you have any beginner camera recommendations, please leave them down in the comments 🙂 very much appreciated!

I ended up going to a Target to buy some new makeup products for my “get ready with me” look. Target recently partnered with Ulta, so they carry some higher end brands in store. Most products were sold out, but I was able to snag some great finds!

Foundation

I’ve been dying to try Charolette Tilbery Hollywood Flawless Filter ($45), but it’s not in my budget at the moment. After spending a few minutes browsing Google, I found a drugstore dupeNYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator ($7). I used a light layer to see how it looked. I couldn’t really tell a huge difference, but I did see a slight glow. If you want a super glowy effect, I would add an additional layer or two.

I ran out of foundation so I decided to try the dupe for the Georgio Armani Silk Foundation ($65). I purchased Revlon Color Stay Foundation ($11). I’ve never tried Revlon makeup products, so I was a bit skeptical. I actually really like the foundation. It’s oil free, provides full coverage and doesn’t crease.

Concealer

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer ($30) has amazing reviews and I’m dying to get my hands on it. Luckily I was able to find a dupe- Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Concealer ($6). I’ve always been a fan of the Maybelline Fit Me line, so I was excited to try this product. It provides the right amount of coverage and isn’t too thick. The only con is that they don’t offer a large shade range.

Mascara

Mascara can be so tricky! Personally, I think it’s hard to find the perfect mascara without buying a million different ones to test. If you see a mascara you like but haven’t tried, I recommend purchasing the travel/mini size. essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara ($5) is one of the best mascaras I have tried, and by far the cheapest. I’m sure it’s a dupe for some type of mascara, but I haven’t checked. Pinterest is a great place to look for dupes. After much trial and error, I decided to stick with my OG mascara, L’Oréal Volumious Mascara ($7). Volume is essential when it comes to mascara, and this mascara definitely provides!

Brows

You can never go wrong with Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Wiz ($23). It gives you those precise strokes when filling in the open areas of your brow, especially the area closest to the center of your forehead. NYX Micro Brow Vegan Eyebrow Pencil ($10) is a great dupe which provides the same results. If you feel like you need more coverage or you want the brows to look more defined, try some eyebrow pomade after going in with the pencil. The brow wiz is on sale at Sephora this Monday for $16!

Eyeliner

Waterproof eyeliner is a must. Nothing is worse than smudged eyeliner half way through the day! My all time favorite is Smashbox Longwear Waterproof Eyeliner ($23), but NYX Waterproof Pencil Eye Liner ($9) works just as well and is half the price. It’s smudge proof and lasts for most of the day.

Finished look!

Make sure to check out all the beauty Cyber Monday deals tomorrow! Ulta is having a HUGE sale so you know where to find me!
